Ngoc Diep Packaging obtained the FSC®-COC Chain of Custody Certification

Sustainable development in parallel with solving environmental problems are current concerns and development goals of domestic and foreign enterprises. Consumers are increasingly aware of the environmental impact of the products they use and hope businesses help them make better choices.

In early March, Ngoc Diep Joint Stock Company (Ngoc Diep Packaging) was granted the FSC® – CoC certificate by SGS – an international independent inspection company. FSC chain of custody certification verifies that FSC-certified material has been identified and separated from non-certified and non-controlled material as it makes its way along the supply chain, from the forest to the market. Chain of custody certification ensures that FSC materials and products have been checked at every stage of processing so that customers purchasing FSC labelled products can be confident that they are genuinely FSC certified.

In the carton packaging industry, the FSC®-CoC certificate verifies the origin of wood throughout the manufacturing process. Thereby ensuring the quality of pulp is not mixed with other types of uncertified pulp. The quality assurance of the input paper source is the most important factor affecting the quality of finished paper packaging.

Ngoc Diep Packaging has combined the CoC system with the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality System; forming an effective general management system that helps the Company to clarify the origin of products, improve competitiveness and affirm corporate social responsibility.

FSC-CoC certification is a ticket to help Ngoc Diep Packaging thrive in the export market, especially in Europe and North America. The certification is a commitment to environmental protection equally with the sustainable development of Ngoc Diep Packaging.
